Member Service Representative

Job Description:

• Greet and welcome members and visitors to the credit union in a professional manner. Provide efficient, prompt, and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
• Provide by telephone and in-person general and specific service-related information concerning credit union services or policies.
• Service existing accounts and open new accounts. Set up new account files and provide members with all necessary information for membership.
• Respond to electronic request or emails submitted by members, again providing professional, prompt, efficient, and accurate service and information.
• Respond to members’ request, problems, and complaints, and/or direct them to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance.
• Handle member transfers, payments, deposits, share withdrawals, CD transactions, check withdrawals and other request received from members.
• Scanning Member Applications.
• Pick up mail in the mornings, process mail, post payments and deposits, and take mail to the post office at the end of the day.
• Promote credit union products and services based on member’s needs.
• Research discrepancies with deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
• Assist members with balancing their accounts
• Process Return Mail pieces and incorrect addresses.
• Manage Dormant accounts.

Education/Experience Required:

High School Diploma/or equivalent

Additional Comments:

1 Year Banking/Finance or Customer Service experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Well organized with attention to details.
